CASCADENCE has nothing to hide. High school friends Johnny Oak (vocals/guitar), Bryan Vitalo (bass/vocals), and Dar Franks (drums/vocals) have only one mission -- to take over the world one song at a time. Formed in 2008, this NJ-based trio chose a mash-up of the words "cascade" and "cadence" to reflect the relentless rhythmic and hook-laden attack that embodies their music -- songs easy to remember but difficult to forget. With a modern sound that is comfortably familiar but stunningly different, the band knows how to create a powerful party atmosphere that fans of all ages have embraced. 2011 has been a breakout year for the band, starting with featured artist accolades from Music Connection Magazine in January and followed by garnering second most downloads among Rock artists in ReverbNation's Microsoft Windows 7 promotion (with over 14,000 downloads during a one month period), repeated airplay on NJ Greater Media stations 95.9 WRAT and 105.5 WDHA, a feature on Kings of A&R, nominations for "Top Rock Band" and "Top Drummer" in the 2011 Asbury Music Awards and a direct support slot on Faster Pussycat's national summer tour. An upcoming full-length release is slated for early 2012 with a second national tour to follow. |
